Travel Grants - Awards

Student Travel Grants

The ACTC meeting actively supports and solicits the work of student scientists-including graduate and medical students as well as postdoctoral fellows by offering four Student Travel Grants to young investigators (MSc students, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows), upon application during abstract submission. This approach provides students with valuable opportunities for networking and social interaction with leading scientists from all over the world. The Abstract Selection Committee will award the authors on the merits of each student's work and how it is presented in the application. The first author of the best four scored abstracts will receive 500 Euros each. Authors will be notified during the second week of July upon acceptance.

ACTC Awards

The International Scientific Committee will select the best 3 oral presentations and best 3 posters for the ACTC awards (500 Euros each). The selection will be based on the quality of submitted abstracts and quality of presentation. Awards will be announced during the last session of the Meeting.

In addition to submission of the abstract, Student Travel Grants candidates must:

  • Check the box on the abstract form identifying the abstract for special consideration

  • Submit an extended abstract describing the nominee's work, that should not exceed 750 words, including no more than one table or one figure.
  • Include the nominee's current curriculum vitae
